TIPS

·      Get started ASAP

·      Packing emergency buckets can be tricky; difficult to get everything in—do the best you can.

·      The buckets do not need to be put in a box

·      The total cost of a bucket is $75.00.  Pastors can invite their congregations to form groups to spread the cost.   3 congregants in a team $25      5 congregants in a team $15     Spread the cost, then work together to assemble the buckets.  Be Creative!

·      Some of the warehouses used by Church World Service are provided by Rise Against Hunger, don’t be confused by the name.

·      Call one of the persons above, if you are unsure or confused by any instructions.

·      Take pictures and/or send a short article  to Curly Stumb about your churches efforts    stumb@boone.net

·      Do not include money inside buckets

·      An alternative way to help is to assemble what is called a CWS hygiene kit.  You can find that information on https://cwskits.org/assemble-kits/hygiene-kits/

If you prefer to donate by mail, make checks payable to United Church of Christ, with "Emergency USA Fund" in the memo.   Mail to: United Church of Christ c/o Financial Services office, 700 Prospect Ave., Cleveland OH 44115

·      There are grants available----easy to fill outs--- they match a contribution of $250.00

·      Let your Association know what you have contributed.  WNCA  704-633-3191
