Dear Friend of the Southern Conference:

   Each year this time you are invited to make a sacrificial gift to financially help the Southern Conference of the United Church of Christ. During this season of giving, your gift will be important as we seek to offer continued faithful ministry for all the churches and people of the Southern Conference. Thanks for your past gifts and expressions of support. You have made a difference. Your gifts helped us continue to provide valuable mission opportunities in the Southern Conference and meet our obligations in many areas of service. As you consider your gift for 2009, know that every dollar given will help the Southern Conference in tremendous ways.

   Please give as generously as you can this year. The financial challenges in the Southern Conference continue. With new conference leadership being sought, your gift will be important. Every dollar in large or small amounts will make a huge difference. Your generous tax deductible donation will continue vital ministry in these challenging financial times. A gift of $200 or more dollars will do more than you may imagine.

   Please send in your check today. Place the notation on the memo line of your check; “Friends of SOC.” Please don’t put it off. Do it today! Also pass this letter on to other members of your congregation and encourage them with your endorsement of this effort.
