SOC Gathers at Franklinton Center to Wrestle Finances and initiate Interim Consulting Process

(Right photo) SOC has contracted with Center for Congregational Health to engage an intentional interim process for the Conference. CCH has set five initial goals for the conference –
1. To rebuild trust in the conference
2. To define the relevance and viability of the conference
3. To develop financial stability and sustainability
4. To expand the voices at the table
5. To move from paper mission to a guiding statement.
Pictured above are Revs. Les Robinson (lead consultant) and Beth Kennet (consultant). A preliminary report to the SOC Board, after various feedback loops are implemented, is expected by the end of March 2011, with a final report to the '11 Annual Gathering scheduled for May in the Tidewater area.
